Favorite Movies

I have a few films which i believe are the best. My old one was the Movie speed,featuring sandra bullock (or however you spell it), about the bus with the bomb in LA. I loved that movie so much. Another movie i use to love was Zoolander, featuring ben Stiller, zoolander was about male modeling. That was such a good movie.My cousin Vinny, another amazing film, it is ranked 3rd legal film of all time. My cousin vinny had probably the best writing i have ever seen.  One of the best movies i have ever seen was A Night At The Museam, again with ben stiller. Where ben stiller becomes the night watchman at the museam of natural history. Although the best movie i need to say is the shawshank redemption. Where a man was convicted of killing his wife and her lover, then he is sent to prison, where he is able to change his life so to speak. I cannot say more without giving it away,, Awesome movie though.

Band Concert

I looked exactly like this, without the creepy beard.

Last night was the ramapo band concert. It was pretty good. The only slight dilema i had was what tie to wear. For a while now i have wanted to get a bolo tie and use that but its expensive. I tried to make one but i was unable to make it look good. So last night before the concert i thought long and hard about what tie to wear. Durring the band trip to disneyland i wore this bright pink tie and everyone loved it. Then it finaly hit me. I went to my closet, right to the bottem, just past the objects that would fend off a robber an pulled it out. the Washboard tie my mom got me 2 years ago when she went to New Orleans. All the other musicians loved it. I went into the wood-winds room to hang with sophia,and tracy, for their warm ups i played the tie, tracy was laughing so hard it wasnt funny.  I was able to have a semi-solo in the middle of one song just to feature the tie. It was so awesome. But as for the concert, that was pretty good. My “solo” in liberty bell was kick ass to say the least, mostly because it repeats about 6 times. Then again its two notes, I was the Liberty bell. Then we got to Chillers with snip-its of Star Wars, Jaws, and some harry potter. It was good. Then the lion king was awesome because i got to play my tie.

Marching Band Parade

This is Last years band, but it gets the point across

Today was the second practice before the memorial day parade. I think i seriously almost died at one point durring the practice. Right now my back is killing me so badly. It really does kinda suck. Although i cant complain now, its too late to. So i might as well try to push through the day. I wonder what muscle it is that hurts so much. I need to find that out. I think ‘m gonna go get a heat pack from my sister to ease the pain. But next year i will die because i will have bass 4 or 5, unless i join the low brass. But seing how i like the line, i doubt thats gonna happen. Terry Hall . I honestly cannot wait for memorial day to be over. What i really thought was funny was the fact that Steve B. is marching in the parade. But to summerize… i’m gonna die.

CERN

Most of us know about the large hadron collider at cern between switzerland and france. While surfing the web, i found this video explaining it. I think this is one of the best raps i have ever heard because the beat is pretty good and the song is entertaining. And get me correct by saying that i realize my grammer and spelling sucks. But in all seriousness it is avery good mix of pop and rap music. I really want to put this song on my ipod, i know that some may call me “geeky” for saying that but “frankly my dear i dont give a damn” and if you know what that is from i give you some credit. But talking about anti-matter like this video, I recomed that everyone reads Angles and Demonds by dan brown. It is such a good novel. Or you could take the lazy approch and go out to the movies. But the book is easier to look at the writting.. trust me. I bring up angles and demonds because antimatter plays a major part in that novel. if you know what i;m talking about it makes sense. Enjoy the video.

A word about Honesty

Recently i have been being more honest. For the most part atleast. Of course i am not going to say the same things here as would with my friends. I dont even know why i started this post, but i just plan to ramble on. I will say things such as i am feeling ok, instead of say that i’m feeling great. But nowthat i think about it. I have a busy day. First, I need to find my black dress shirt. Then i might do something with my brother before he goes on vacation. Then Ihave the band  concert to perform in.This concert I will be the  liberty bell. In theory atleast. It will be nice. I made a sailboat in spanish today out of paper. It looks awesome. I cannot wait for the summer. I have some good plans. The spacebar on  this computer is not really working. And that is how honest i am.

Robotics Day 2

Thursday was the second day of the robotics competition. When we first arrived, the sod for the obsticle course smelled so bad. I think that they used legit cow manure. But on the other hand, being so early, we were able to get the center of the bleachers so that we could see the entire course. So after a little bit of time and almost every other school entering we did the pledge of allegenc and they announced the winners of the engineering presentation. We came in second place, one point away from tieing first. Then we “did the math” and realized we would neeed to get first place on the obstical course, and the team who beat us by one point to get fourth, in order to put a drive off into place. So after that we ran the course. The first time we went we got an ok score, just about middle of the pack. The second time we went, we conducted a sacrificial experiment to see how fast we could go. So we got to the turnabout and got disqualified because two wheels were out. But because of that we knew the approx. limitations. So for the third and final run, jimmy was given the controls. I dont think i’ve ever seen someone run so fast trying to catch up to the robot. We were able to pick up a can as well which gave us an extra 200 points. Jimmy finished the course in 1 minute 36 seconds. giving us 1071 points. That was just awesome. Although we could have gotten 1:20 if the bricks diddent stop the robots motion.
At the end of the day, We were only able to get second, but being on the robotics team had to have been the awesomest thing ever.

Lost Season Finale

Bloodiest episode yet

The season finale of lost was so awesome. I have no clue where to begin. First off Jacob  is everywhere and all knowing. Its pretty cool. Then Jug head detonated, I’m 99%  sure that the bomb killed Juliet. I don’t know why but it just seems like a really annoying way to end this season. I will say that Locke, or Jacobs enemy who was on the beach at the beginning of the show finally found his loophole. Locke is obviously that guy from the 1800’s that’s why he wanted the real Locke to  die so he could pose as him. He is also alot like Jacob because he knows everything, case and point telling Locke that he had to die, so that he can exist in secrecy. Although i lost track at the end with gun battle and everything falling into the swan. P.S. the swan most likely had sub-levels that were closed off due the incident. All in all it was awesome, Especially because it was the bloodiest episode ever. basically Awesomeness.

Parade Prep

Last wendsday, the marching band met in order to prepare for the memorial day parade of franklin lakes and wyckoff. Lastyear marching the parade was like death, it was just under 3 miles combined. It was so annoying and i was only playing the crash cymbals. This year having bass 3 will be so annoying. Also, the parade in wyckoff was shortened so now its only like 2 miles we need to march combined. Thank God. On wendsday we had drumline rehearsal at 5, and full band at 6:30. I was just barely able tolearn the ram section of the new cadence. Ponce tried to punish me with a tic, everytime i messed up. A tic is a stick wedged between the harness and my body. When we sarted to track the cadence i realized how bad the parade would be. I was like oh, crap. It was almost as bad as the 10 hours per day at bandcamp, but not that bad. regaurdless to say, i’m gonna need to “workout” in order to prep. I love the fact that we have so may cadences. the main one we are marching will be Vodka Regatone, then Tic-Tac-Toe aka techno. The cadence i really want to play though is Hernia, because of the “Yell/groan” at the end, especially because the entire band knows it and it can be scary. Although we will see.We still have like 2 weeks.

Pick-Up Lines

At the robotics competition yesterday, my half girlfriend Carmelita (actual name has been requested to not be used, due to not wanting to embarrass) was looking for the loving, a.k.a. being annoyed by myself. The way i met Carmelita was, one day after the halftime band show (I’m in the marching band) the entire band was standing around talking. So, i walk past my friend terry and he’s talking to some girl i have never met. As i walked past him he good gamed me, aka, administering a light slap on the bum while saying good game. For those of you who have never heard of this just go with it. Anyway, he good-gamed me and blamed it on this girl, who ended up being his girlfriend. So i say, “if you wanted me, all you had to do was say so” thus making both of them laugh hysterical. So i have been her stalker/boyfriend the past 6 months. So being that she was on robotic team as well, she was at the competition. The entire day i was making up pick-up lines. Example one

John “If i went to africa i’d die”

Pat ” well if Carmelita went to Africa, I’d die not being able to see her”

I was also “hitting” on Carmelita’s best friend Maya. When the group was talking about trophey wives i go up behind carmelita, and Maya, and said “one word ladys, Polygamy.” Also i made alternitive, awesome pickup lines such as my personal favorite.

James (talking about bomb squads) “When was the last time you wanted to pick up a bomb?”

Pat(me) “Bomb, i dont remember, but the last time i wanted o pick up a bombshell.., Carmalita.”

Robotics Competition

Today was day one of the ‘north jersey rob..’ okay i honestly like forgot the name of it. The competition is between about 8 teams. Last night was when the different robots were measured and checked for any ‘illegal’ materials. We ‘Ramapo’ were the only team to not have a violation. Today was the heats for the shooting and trash collecting events. We had to shoot darts at a wall and pick up trash ranging from soda cans, to paper plates, batteries and cigarette butts, aka ash urns.  Our Robot, crabby as he is referred to was able to get us in 3rd place for both the shooting and the trash picker competition.  Unfortunately on our final run of the trash competition, after getting the perfect game plan for how to run the event, however when we set the robot within the outline on the floor we moved it forwards and backwards to make sure that robot was working. However the ref, who was a b1+(h by the way, didn’t tell us that as soon as the robot moved, the time started. So we lost about 20 seconds because she didn’t tell us that, then once we did our driver panic-ed and touched, not even crossing the border, and she disqualified us. We tried to protest but it was useless. So hopefully we can get first in the obstacle course on Thursday. More to follow.
